Day 1 : Kolkata - Sundarban National Park (110 kms/ 04 hrs journey)
Upon arrival at Kolkata you will be received by our office assistant. He will ask you for the breakfast after that you will depart for Godhkhali. On arrival at Godhkhali jetty travel by land ends here. We cruise through the river and this journey would take you down the rivers Gomar, Hoogli, Durgaduni and Gumdi in about an hour and a half, after we transfer you to resort.
On arrival you will be asked to check-in to your cottage/ room followed by a hot lunch. Enjoy the afternoon by observing endemic and migratory birds and variant wildlife while you walk along the creeks and canals of the Sundarban Tiger Reserve Forest. You may pay visit to Sajnekhali watchtower and mangrove interpretation centre while enjoying refreshment that will be served on the board. Dinner and night halt at the hotel/ resort as per your choice.
Day 2 : Sundarban National Park - Kolkata
After having breakfast in the morning we cruise along the creeks and take you for the village tour at Bali. When we set off for a visit to a village and learn about the experiences of the villagers in the forest. You will get an opportunity to meet with the fishermen, the honey collectors as well as woodcutters who share their live experiences of the jungle. After that we move towards the Sudhanyakhali watch tower at the Sundarban National Park. It is the best place from where most of the tigers are sighted. You can also see some other wildlife like axis deer, wild boars and crocodiles. It is so there is a sweet water pond where animals come to drink water.
After lunch at the resort you will depart for Godhkhali and from their transferred to Kolkata. You will arrive at Kolkata by 6:00 PM, here your trip to Sunderbans end with ample of sweet memories.
